About

Brittany Chenenko, M.Ed, LMHC

Hello!

Whether your child is struggling emotionally, behaviorally, and/or academically in school and/or at home, I am here to help.

I have over 15 years of experience working with children, parents, and families in various settings, including education and mental health counseling. My goal is to work together with parents, children, and other professionals to help a child reach their therapeutic and life goals. Together we can help your child recognize the emotions they are feeling, increase their self-control, and regulation.

I also offer perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety counseling. Mothers can suffer from postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety starting from the days after birth to many months after. This is typically caused from a combination of hormonal changes, the adjustment to motherhood, and fatigue. Even adoptive parents can experience postpartum depression and anxiety. Reaching out for support during this time is critical, and I would be honored to be a support to you and your partner during this time of transition.

Before becoming a mental health counselor, I was a middle school English teacher, who also taught a few years of art and drama. I love using my creative energy in my counseling sessions not only with the children I work with, but also the parents I counsel as well.
